Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Camp David is a registered public NPC (2013/087195/08) based in South Africa. We operate Christian men's camps and an alumni community platform.

2. Information We Collect

When you register on our platform, we collect:

  • Full name, email address, phone number
  • Province, city, and suburb (for regional networking)
  • Birthday and baptism anniversary (optional, for community celebrations)
  • Camp attendance history
  • Payment information (processed securely via PayFast — we do not store card details)

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To process camp registrations and payments
  • To manage your alumni network membership
  • To send transactional emails (registration confirmations, payment receipts, password resets)
  • To send marketing communications (with your consent — you can opt out at any time)
  • To display your name and location in the Alumni Directory (only if you opt in)

4. Alumni Directory

If you consent to appear in the Alumni Directory, other logged-in Camp David members can see your name, city, and province. Your email address and phone number are never shared publicly. Contact between members is facilitated through our platform — your email is never exposed to other users.

5. Data Protection (POPIA)

We comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) and the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (PAIA). You have the right to:

  • Access your personal information
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications
  • Opt out of the Alumni Directory at any time
  • Object to the processing of your personal information
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator

Camp David NPC complies with PAIA. Our PAIA manual is available on request from the Information Officer. Requests for access to records held by Camp David can be directed to info@campdavid.co.za using the prescribed form (Form 2 of the PAIA Regulations).

All payments are processed through PayFast, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. We never store your credit card or bank details on our servers.

We use essential cookies for session management (keeping you logged in). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.
